must be translated showing a detailed evaluation, complete with
suggested transfer equivalencies and GPA. Please contact Foreign
Credentials Services of America at (512) 459-8428 or visit http://www.fcsa.biz/
for more information on foreign transcript evaluation.

What is the time
commitment for the e2 program?
Successful completion of our program
can be achieved within 18 months. You could be teaching
in as little as 6 months. Courses will be scheduled during
the evenings throughout the year.
Interns will be required
to complete a Pedagogy and Professional Responsibility
Course (PPR) consisting of 80 hours of class work, a
Content Course consisting of 120 hours of class
work and a Teaching Component (Paid Internship
or Clinical Teaching) in an accredited school, which will be supervised
by a TxBESS trained certified Texas classroom teacher. During
the coursework portion of our program, teacher candidates will
participate in 100 hours of hands-on classroom experience in a
school with a certified classroom teacher.
(
top )
What if I have
to miss some classes?
Regular and punctual attendance is required of all. Recognize
the importance of timeliness; it is an expression of commitment
and respect. Come to class on time and stay for the entire period.
Notify the instructor ahead of time if you must be absent for
any reason. Eighty percent (80%) attendance is the minimum requirement
for an individual to receive a Certificate of Completion from
the Program. The Program does not recognize any absence from class
as an “excused absence”. Teacher Candidates are considered
absent if they are not present for class during normal classroom
hours regardless of the circumstances.

Is there financial
aid available for this program?
Yes, the most popular option:
The College Access Loan Program provides alternative education
loans to Texas students who are unable to meet the cost of attendance.
The CAL may be used to cover part or all of the student's Expected
Family Contribution (EFC); students do not have to demonstrate
financial need . However, the amount of federal aid for
which you are eligible must be deducted from the cost of attendance
in determining the CAL loan amount.
Visit College
Access Loans for more information.
Visit our Financial
Aid page to explore other options.
If
you will be applying for financial aid, all items
must be completed prior to the first day of class.

designed for teacher candidates to maintain their current employment.

they will be place at the discretion of the partnering school
district.

I expect to earn?
