Criteria:
Candidates
must meet admission criteria for the program established by e2,
which include:
1) a bachelor’s degree from an accredited
institution of higher learning with a grade point average
of 2.5* on a 4 point
2) a completed application with all required documents
3) meet degree requirements below OR pass the
TExES Pre-admission Content Test (PACT) in the certification area.
Degree
requirements:
Early Childhood through 6th grade: total of 24 hrs in English,
Math, Science and Social Studies (at least three hours in each
area).
Early Childhood through 6th grade Bilingual: total of 24
hrs in English, Math, Science and Social Studies (at least three
hours in each area) and show proficiency in the Spanish language.
Early Childhood through 6th grade Special Education: total
of 24 hrs in English, Math, Science and Social Studies (at least
three hours in each area).
4th-8th English Language Arts & Reading: 12 hours (18
recommended)
4th-8th Mathematics: 12 hours (18 recommended)
4th-8th Science: 12 hours (18 recommended)
4th-8th Social Studies: 12 hours (18 recommended)
4th-8th Special Education: meet degree requirements in
content area
8th-12th English Language Arts & Reading: 18 hours
(24 recommended)
8th-12th Mathematics: 18 hours (24 recommended)
